At 75 miles per hour, the .86:1 overdrive ratio will produce a 475 RPM reduction when shifting from fifth gear. A 2.94:1 close ratio first gear will add approximately 5 MPH of useable first gear. One of the biggest questions asked is what does it do and do I have to shift. The auto clutch engages your manual clutch when your engine rpms increase and releases back at idle. You still have engine braking down to idle and when taking off when done normally, it even sounds like are letting out the clutch. You can still use the manual clutch lever but with zero pull at idle and 1 finger pull up to about half the engine rpm. You have more holding power with the EFM auto clutch than any other type on the market. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th gear burnouts can be done with ease. You still have to shift, you can use the manual clutch to shift, or just relax the throttle to up shift, and blip to down shift.

THERE IS NO DISADVANTAGE TO THE EFM AUTO CLUTCH!

There is no worry about stalling in traffic, holding in the clutch lever while sitting for a traffic light. A must for jockey shift bikes. If you are a experienced rider than take advantage of the way you can accelerate from a green light. If you are a new rider, you will ride the the confident of just being able to twist the throttle and go even if your on a hill, or just turning around in a tight area. The all new BAKER DD7 is more than just another gear added to the mix for the sake of one-upmanship. That 7th gear enables the motorcycle to now make use, by way of gear ratio management, of the torque and power put out by the new 96 ci and 110 ci motors rolling off the assembly line in Milwaukee. We did not make this Transmission a deep overdrive; rather we shortened 1st gear and tightened up the gears to deliver the riding experience that you were after when you bought your bike. The gear ratios as listed out below leave you the rider, with the experience of smooth, crisp, continuously pulling acceleration from 1st all the way through 4th gear. Then you are able to start getting into the cruising portion of the program in gears 5th-7th. No big drops in RPM from one gear to the next or lugging the motorcycle off of a stop light, just smooth, uninhibited acceleration. We did not stop at just fixing the gear ratios. We improved the smoothness and crispness of the shifting by reducing the mainshaft mass by only having 1st gear be a part of the shaft, rather than 1st-4th gears like on the stock unit. Reduction in rotating mass for shift quality is a fact that has been utilized in the automotive world for years. We ditched the stock detent arm and spring assembly from the door in favor of a linear detent that decreased friction while increasing smoothness when coupled with the all new shift drum design. We have tightened up the dog teeth on the gears to prevent the loud clacking noise that accompanies every shift on the factory 6 speed. Through the use of a billet bearing door, 28% wider bearings in the door, steel bearing retainer plates and full width gears, the durability and strength of our unit is a drastic improvement. By utilizing fully ground, helical gears in 1st and 4th -7th we are able to deliver a much quieter riding experience. While 2nd and 3rd are diamond ground, spur gears to handle the peak torque that is reached in that range.

The Green Light "HP" uses a rare-earth magnet on an isolation base to point the direction of the magnet field.

Traffic signal sensors are essentially metal detectors buried in the road surface. These "inductive loop" sensors are easy to spot because they have a circular, square, or diamond-shaped saw cut in the pavement just before the intersection. There is a weak radio frequency field over the coil, and a large inductive mass disturbs that field. Loop detectors are meant to pick up the presence of large masses of metal - like cars and trucks - sitting still over the detector loop.

Most modern bikes don't have enough inductive material in their frames to trip the sensor, and what they have tends to be oriented vertically above the loop (making it harder to sense) so we get stuck.

The Green Light Trigger emits a wide and powerful magnetic field that when passed over a detector loop, disturbs the loop's field, simulating the arrival of a much larger vehicle. When the control computer sees that signal, it knows someone's there, and the biker gets a green light, just like everyone else.
