Our original 6-into-4 transmission is a direct replacement for the 1970-Early 1984 4-speed. Recently we have added mainshaft options that allow fitment into belt drive models that require a longer mainshaft and shorter ones for Pan and Knuckle. Available with or without the time-honored 1936-84 style kicker. In a 4-speed, 4th gear is 1:1. Our Shovelhead 6-speed overdrive has a 1:1 5th gear and a .86 6th; good for a 500 RPM drop at highway cruising speeds. The BAKER 6 in 4 transmissions are offered for 3 fitment applications:

36 - 64 for Knuckles and Pans with tin type primaries and stock style clutch.

70 - E84 for Shovels with aluminum primaries and chain or belt primary drive and chain or belt secondary drive and factory dry clutch. (The "dry" type clutch can be identified by a steel clutch basket and a flat backed steel clutch hub with studs). This includes 80 - 81 Sturgis models with factory primary and secondary belt drive.

L84 - 86 for Shovel and Evo models with aluminum primaries and chain drive primary and chain or belt secondary drive and factory wet clutch. (The "wet" clutch can be identified by an aluminum clutch hub and clutch basket and diaphragm style clutch spring). These transmissions are designed for use with the factory style clutch hub, as clearance is very close. If other style belts are used, BAKER cannot guarantee fitment and modifications may be necessary. Tech Products offers belt drives designed specifically for 6 in 4 usage.

FLH Panhead Long Block is of 74” or 80” cubic inch displacement featuring an S&S crankcase, Sifton oil pump/breather assembly, S&S stock stroke flywheel, Timken bearing, stock FLH cam installed with a matched pinion and cam gear with a Torrington full compliment bearing. Assembly supplied with a cast finished ribbed cam cover, chrome lifter blocks which are fitted with hydraulic tappets and stock steel pushrods. Cylinders are stock replacement with standard compression 8.5:1 cast pistons and Hastings rings. Top end includes single plug S.T.D. Panhead fitted with rocker arm assemblies, chrome pan covers with thick DRings, and chrome steel pushrods covers. Order manifold (Shovel band style), carburetor and 2 brush generator separately. Automatic advance distributor is included. Entire unit is pre-run and factory tested for oil pump pressure. Also available as 1963- 65 type with overhead oiler line. RFID Technology

RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification Device) Dawg Tags are motion activated and will only authorize your Ignition to operate when you are within a set range. Each Tag is completely unique with over 6 billion different code combinations. Dawg Tags have 4 adjustable range settings from between 2’ – 25’ feet and can be cross-programmed allowing one tag to operate multiple bikes.
